Introduction to Ceramics

Six weeks of core skills from wheel and hand building to trimming, surface design, and functional add-ons, finishing with glazing. Beginner friendly and foundation focused.

Intermediate Ceramics

Strengthen throwing, trimming, and glazing while exploring taller forms, donut forms, oxides, and intermediate surface work with guided feedback throughout. Prior wheel experience required.

Intermediate Ceramics 2.5: Surface Design

Jess Burlage

An intermediate surface lab for wheel and hand-built ceramics. Learn a new technique each week, then apply color and composition to make your work pop. Prior experience required.

Hand-Building & Wheel Hybrid

John Masello

Not your grandmother’s hand building. Team up with artist John Masello to create bold abstract sculptures using pinch, coil, slab, extruding, and throwing off the hump. Plan your builds with templates, sketches, and photos, with the wheel in a supporting role.

Alternative Firing: Slip Cast Creature Creation
