To join Seatown Pottery, start by joining the waitlist for your desired studio through the membership tab on our website. Once your name reaches the top of the list, you’ll receive an invitation to attend a scheduled studio tour. During the tour, we’ll review studio policies and procedures, answer questions, and set up your membership. We offer prorated memberships for mid-month starts, or we can postpone your start date to the start of the following month. New members pay first month’s dues (5-hour prorated option available for mid-month starts), and a one-time $39 supply fee. You’ll leave the tour with a member gift and access to the 24hr Pottery app so you can start creating.
What is included with membership?
Membership with Seatown Pottery includes 24/7 studio access through the 24hr Pottery app, no matter your membership tier. The app acts as your studio key, provides kiln unload updates, tracks purchases, connects you to community boards, and keeps you informed about studio updates and events. Clay can be purchased directly through the app, with options from Seattle Pottery Supply and Clay Arts Center. Brush and dip glazes for low-fire and mid-fire work are included with membership. Members may also bring their own clay and glazes as long as the clay is compatible with our kiln temperatures, glazes are AP certified, and raw glaze mixing is not done on site due to ventilation limits. To maintain our 10-day turnaround time, all work fired in our kilns must be created within the studio. 24hr Pottery is not intended for full-time production potters. Storage options are available at all studios, storage fees are added to your monthly membership. Clay and tools may not be stored on shelves or floors, as shelving is reserved for in-process work only. Members may pause their membership for $19/month to hold their spot in the studio. Pause requests must be emailed to seattle@24hrpottery.com by the 25th of the month before the pause begins. Pausing ensures your spot is saved and waives the $39 supply fee when you return. Requests to cancel or modify your membership must be submitted through the member app or emailed to seattle@24hrpottery.com by the 25th of the month before the change takes effect.
